CASBEER, HUNT, PAINE, NEWMAN, JONES
Query:
I am looking for information on a Mrs Mollie Casbeer of Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas
about 1930 time period. she is the daughter of James Basil Hunt of Fairview, Wilson Co TX she was listed in his obit of 1938 as one of the surviving family
I am trying to identify her possibly as M.A. or M.J HUNT of the Wilson Co census of 1880 ,
that is how family members were listed on it. if she is one of these persons she would be
about age 68 for M.J. HUNT and about age 63 for M.A. HUNT I have no idea where she was married !
She is the sister of John Wesley HUNT of Star, Mills in 1921-25 time period
He married Pearl Musa Paine about 1898 lived in O'Brien, Haskell Co. until the death
of Pearl's mother Elizabeth Harriett NEWMAN/PAINE in Star.
Then the John W. HUNT family moved back to Star to live in the PAINE home they later moved to Yuma, AZ about 1925
Members of this family and the PAINE family are buried in the Center City Cemetery family plot
Any information you can provide as to the identify of Mrs Mollie Casbeer
would be greatly appreciated Thanks very much

PARKS,
Query:
Do you have anything on James Monroe PARKS?
He lived in and around Regency on the Mills County side and Locker on the
San Saba County side of the Colorado, ca 1875-1895.
He died in 1895 and is buried in Richland Springs.
One of my sources claims that he was one of the main movers
and shakers in the formation of Mills County. I have been unable to confirm this.
Note: To Clarify this query, Mr. Parks "only" wants information about James Monroe Parks role (if any?) did he play in forming Mills County
even though his query asks for "Anything" Anything should pertain to the Making of the County and Mr. Parks.
After asking Mr. Parks if he knew about some
information printed about James Monroe Parks in a couple of books, I received this msg,

can show you his gravestone (and that of his wife) in the Richland Springs
Cemetery. I also have a copy of the San Saba County History book. My basic
query still is where was James Monroe Parks when Mills county came into being
and what role (if any?) did he play in it? Is there any source where research
on this topic might pay off?

MORRIS
Query:
My gggrandfather David Morris came to what is now Mills County
in 1852.
His wife's name was Rachel Cook Morris and their children were Andrew, John,
Rebecca (Langford) William and David.
William and David married Pollyann and
Alice Evans in a double ceremony in 1873. My grandfather, Henry Morris was born
to this union.
My Father, Howard David Morris, took us to Goldthwaite each
summer and I have many memories there. I know that their must be many Morris'
that must be related to me down there.
There are seven of us cousins that plan on a
reunion next Sept in Goldthwaite. I am working of my genealogy and really need
help. If you can send me names that I might contact, I sure would appreciate it. I
spoke with my Uncle, Bob Johnson yesterday. I have the three books about Mills
County that were published. Thank you for your help. Alice Sue
